The City of Poughkeepsie is accepting Requests for Funding for 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from eligible non-profit organizations. Eligible activities must meet the National Objective primarily benefiting low and moderate income City of Poughkeepsie residents and the priorities outlined in the 2013-2017 Consolidated Plan. Applications may be obtained at the Social Development Office, City Hall, 2nd Floor, or on the City’s website www.cityofpoughkeepsie.com or by calling 845-451-4046 and an application will be mailed to you. Applications are available commencing on Friday, September 13, 2013.
A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday October 10, 2013 at 4:00pm in the Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Poughkeepsie, NY. This hearing is to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on activities they believe should be funded with the 2014 Community Development Block Grant funds. All comments at the public hearing will be taken into consideration when preparing the Draft 2014 Action Plan. Applications must be submitted to Paul Hesse, Social Development Director, City of Poughkeepsie, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 no later than 4:00pm on November 4, 2013.
