Sealed bids are sought and invited by the City of Poughkeepsie (“The City”) for DPW Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System; RFB-COP-07-14-01, as set forth in drawings and specifications prepared by City of Poughkeepsie Engineering Department.
Bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, c/o Purchasing Agent, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the third floor Common Council Chambers, with the contract being awarded as soon as practicable thereafter. All mailed bids will be sealed and distinctly marked “Proposal for RFB-COP-07-14-01”: DPW Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System.
This contract consists of installation of Access control and Alarm monitoring system at The City’s Department of Public Works yard; functions to include automated access control, intrusion detection, alarm annunciation, security record storage, report generation and remote surveillance and assessment.
The contract contains special reporting procedures as required by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted at 26 Howard Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. All interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend. Immediately following the Pre-Bid meeting, the City will facilitate a Site Tour of the project site for any interested parties.
