Police - Hostage Negotiation/Crisis Intervention Unit
The Hostage Negotiation/Crisis Intervention Unit was started in the early 1980’s by Lt. John Gildard. The Unit currently works under the direct supervision of a patrol lieutenant. The unit consists of one lieutenant, one sergeant, and members of the Detective Division and Patrol Division.

The unit received extensive training from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation. The unit trains with other departments.
