First Time Home Buyers:
Provides income
eligible, first-time home buyer’s down payment and/or closing
assistance. Funds of up to $10,000 are offered in the form of a 0%
deferred loan, repayable upon sale or transfer of property within the
first ten years of ownership and occupancy.
HOME Rehabilitation Grant Program for Low Income Seniors:
A program offering qualified, low income senior citizens forgivable
grants of up to $5,000 for repairs to owner occupied 1-3 family
homes.
Family Self Sufficiency (FSS):
A program established within the housing
agency to promote economic self-sufficiency among participating
families. This program is only open to "eligible families", those
families who receive assistance under the Section 8 Housing Choice
Voucher Program. It offers a financial incentive to families,
that becomes available to the families, upon successful completion of
the Contract of Participation or upon achievement of certain goals.
HOME Development Loan Program: The goal of this program is to offer gap financing necessary to create new residential rental units and/or owner occupied homeownership through new construction, rehabilitation of city owned property, mixed use buildings or multi-family dwellings.
