Request for Proposal (RFP): The City of Poughkeepsie seeks qualified, experienced developer or business owner(s) for the former "Roberts Boice Papaer Company" located at 40-42 Cottage Street

The City is encouraging clean industry with job creation potential.  Creative services and production facilities, information-based industries, research and development labs and small scale or custom design light manufacturing are favored uses. Uses that have growth potential and offer career employment opportunities for city residents will be most favorably considered.

First Time Home Buyers: Provides income eligible, first-time home buyer’s down payment and/or closing assistance. Funds of up to $10,000 are offered in the form of a 0% deferred loan, repayable upon sale or transfer of property within the first ten years of ownership and occupancy.

HOME Rehabilitation Grant Program for Low Income Seniors: A program offering qualified, low income senior citizens forgivable grants of up to $5,000 for repairs to owner occupied 1-3 family homes. 

Family Self Sufficiency (FSS):
A program established within the housing agency to promote economic self-sufficiency among participating families.  This program is only open to "eligible families", those families who receive assistance under the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.  It offers a financial incentive to families, that becomes available to the families, upon successful completion of the Contract of Participation or upon achievement of certain goals.
