What is the PSAP?
The goals of the Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP) are:
1. Upgrading pedestrian facilities (signals, pushbuttons, crosswalks) at existing signalized locations to meet current design standards.
2. Replacing or adding curb ramps where existing ramps are missing or do not meet design or accessibility requirements.
3. Improving uncontrolled pedestrian crossing awareness through better signing, high visibility crosswalks and pedestrian-actuated flashing beacons (RRFB’s).
4. Mitigate pedestrian safety deficiencies identified through accident analysis or existing conditions.
