City officials are continuing to update the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Codes and have scheduled a third open house — this one focusing on the mission to “convert goals into action.”
The city has been gaining considerable public input as it builds a strong vision and guidance for future growth and development in the city. The next open house will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Trolley Barn, 489 Main St. Register for the meeting at EventBrite here.
The city is working with consultants czb LLC, in partnership with Ingalls Planning & Design on the project, which includes data analysis, public engagement, development of a comprehensive plan and updates to the zoning codes.
Updating the city’s comprehensive plan is funded in part by the Climate Smart Communities (CSC) Grant Program, Title 15 of the Environmental Protection Fund through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
The city’s Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 1998, and it’s been over 40 years since the City’s zoning ordinance was comprehensively reviewed and updated. Find out more here,
