City Expands Curbside Pickup of Bulk Items

The city is expanding its curbside pickup of bulk items this year following a fire that destroyed the transfer station. There will be four pick up days: May 3, May 10, May 17 and May 24. The service will be free due to the transfer station being closed. Yard debris will still be picked up for those days.

The sign up week of bulk-time pick up will be April 17 – 21. Call (845) 451-4111 on those days between 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prohibited items include construction debris, yard debris, propane tanks, recyclables and hazardous waste. Anything with Freon and tires also will not be taken. Mattresses will still be taken for a $15 fee
